I'm not sure about this guide, it seems a bit misleading. What every real Support boils down to in the end is the ability to provide a good amount of utility to the team without needing to farm. The purpose of this is so the Jungler gets his own farm in the jungle so that someone can solo top and get all of the farm top lane. Mid is solo, and the AD Carry bot can get all farm without the Support taking any. You say in this guide to take as much farm as you can, even if you steal it from your Carry. That breaks the golden rule as support, in my opinion. You shouldn't have "Support" in your guide's name if your plan is to undermine the AD Carry...

Not to say I don't like the build, I just think the name is misleading. I came across this guide hoping to find some way to play Kayle as a Support. lol

My favourite Kayle guide out there.

At first I thought the items looked a little weird, but they started to make sense.

Have had many amazing kayle games with this build, well done.

I'm going to have to dissagree with the person above. There is a valid point, but obviously you won't be a hard carry and a hard support, but it is still possible.

You can still heal your team mates for a decent ammount, shield them, and still dish out some very good damage. Support when you can, kill when you can.

That's the good thing about this build, it allows for the both, regardless of assists, or kills.

Sorry I m gonna say that I don t like it...and since it s rather popular I decided to state the problems with this.
First of all there is no such thing as carry/support. If u mix these roles u end up doing nothing of the 2.

What i don t like as support

1)When u play support Kayle or support anything u need to build 4 things
a)mana/cooldown b)survivability(u can t support dead) c)income and XP d)auras
2)For masteries i would go for a 9.0.21(ability for more heal/harrass bot lane) or a 0.9.21 for more survival
3)For runes.Marks=9armor seals=4armor 5 mana regen glyphs=CD reduction Quints=2 ability 1speed or armor...
4)Anything that grants an aura. these items are all very powerful/gamechanging in team fights instead of boots of swiftness i d take boots of mobility to bring those auras to the allies fast

For carry

1)Masteries I d go for 21.0.9 for movement speed and mana offence AD tree just instead of crit and LS take ability and CD reduction and Mpen
2)Items instead of boots of swiftness i d take beserker greaves, and maybe instead of frozen mallet Hextech gunblade(but i don t like the ls in this item perhaps mallet is still better) the other suggested in this guide are cool allthough u ll need MR lategame
3)Runes: The advantage of having a hybrid carry is that u can boost both AD and AP with runes so Marks: Full AD Seals:Full armor Glyphs:Full AP Quints:AP AD Apen Mpen are all good chose any1 you like

Again I say I m sorry...I m not trolling this is constructive critiscism...because i hate ppl leaving games when i pick kayle because she is highly underestimated...

+1 on building speed and farming your butt off. I also like the "start out support, change to face raping carry aspect." I like all the ideas, esp. to rush nashor's not guinsoo's, i don't like guinsoo's on kayle at all. The cdr on her is amazing.

Finally! Tiamat. Lol. It works pretty well on kayle.

All around, a nice guide and you put a lot of work into it; I just started using kayle and im already doing well. Just went 9/0 on my second game.

I also want your thoughts on building boots of mobility instead of sped, like what was your thought process in choosing the boots of speed instead of mobility?

I have to agree, I would go for Malady/LB instead of the Triforce, depending on how the game is going.

Is LB a viable option instead of Malady? i dont see it anywhere in this guide as a alternate item

One thing i don't like about Tiamat is the very small range of the splash damage. It never seems to hit unless targets are almost overlapping each other. Am i the only one to feel this way ?

I like the idea of Tiamat on Kayle. It just seems so fitting :) good, unique idea!! +1 ALSO: How will kayle's playing style differ after this upcoming patch hits?

I think you should also think about Kayle's potential for solo top. With clarity I can hold against two champs easily. Other than that an overall solid build. I don't agree with the KS, but I do think that a fed support that is SUPPORTING the team can be worth more than one fed carry. Kayle is a magnificent support, she kind of allows the team to make mistakes and still come out ahead.

This looks promising I prefer having the highest CR possible though. +1

Your masteries description doesn't match what is shown O.o would you prioritize the magic pen or armor pen if you actually did 9/0/21 as suggested?

Great guide. My first two games ever playing kayle I did very well. Love rushing the tooth.

First 2 games. I didnt get to finish them. They surrender about 25-30 minutes in both times.
