Also, Garen is an aggressive character, you are almost forced to run Blitz+Garen, or Taric+Garen to have a successful lane with Garen in bottom.

Why do you need ranged AD?
Ranged AP isn't enough i guess.

In coordinated teams, if your melee AD is your damage, they'll die when they get in range. The whole point of ranged AD is because they do the most damage lategame and don't die so they can keep doing that damage.
APs fall off lategame hardcore.
There's a reason why high ELO always has a ranged AD; I'm only playing 1700s ELO and I see a ranged AD every game. Assuming equal skill, melee AD will be kited, ranged AD does the kiting.

Garen isn't forced to lane with Blitzcrank or Taric. Lol. He can solo lane if need be, he can roam pretty well. If you roll Exhaust he can gank incredibly well, or just pick up Phage/Red for the slow. I'm not sure you guys know HOW to play Garen if you think that :P

garen janna can work too shield gives him bf sword then u spin 2 win basically XD...alistar can support him too, basically anyone with some aggressive cc works great with garen. blitz could even lane with him....and about him dieing...ur not building IE then PD....if u think that u dont play garen, u build frozen mallet or warmogs and an atmas, along with bruta and dorans blades...thats basically all u need on garen and ur very tanky and pooooooop damage, with his armor mr buffs he is even more tanky early...he can be ur ad carry u will see soon when the competitive scene catches on to how strong he is now....Let garen have his comeback...DAMACIA!!!!!

If you don't rush a BV, which significantly hurts your damage, you won't really do well in mid with a 4 bar AD character.
