Alright, well, let's look at things.
Song of Solomon... that name sounds familiar.. but let's change it to something we know - Song of Salamander. I'm pretty sure salamanders can't sing, so let's say the book is following a instrumental band of salamanders on tour. I can tell from my powers that this band is kind of ****py, and yet people think they're good, so they quickly rise to the top. Then, tragedy strikes the band as one of the salamanders is stepped on, so they write the legendary song, Song of Salamanders, to recognize his accomplishments. This song becomes so famous they wrote a book about it.
How to Read Literature Like a Professor is about a new professor at a school that is not very well funded. He struggles with his limited amount of textbooks, but one day, a boy who can write really fast joins his class. So, he gets this boy to copy down entire textbooks. In return, he teaches the boy to read, because he doesn't know how (lolwut). But, he teaches him like a professor, so when he moves on in life, he reads like a professor and does it all wrong. He's then killed in a tragic baboon accident while attempting to read Green Eggs and Ham the normal way, but, he can't. The professor is torn with guilt and therefore writes this book.

So I have a week of summer vacation and I totally forgot about my summer reading for AP Literature...
Can anyone give me notes on the 'Song of Solomon', and 'How to Read Literature Like a Professor'? I'm starting to read the boring one first... But some notes would be appreciated.
