I just recently got to lvl 30 and play only normal games so far. I noticed that almost no one is jungling, so I try to be the jungler on the team as I realize it should be the optimal strategy (2 solo lanes, more ganking potential etc). What happens though is that we face a lot of non jungling teams and the top lane is 1 vs 2. Now you might say: "You just have to gank top more often.", but the thing is they often fail before I'm lvl 5 even and some junglers just don't have strong ganks pre lvl 6. Additionally when I come to gank my ally is probably low health/ low mana because of the pressure and we won't be able to kill one of them or do enough damage.

So I don't want to blame it on the top lane as playing against 2 people is very hard, I tried it myself but I can't believe that the counter to jungling is simply not to jungle and take the first tower of the game. What's your suggestion or how to you deal with a situation like this?

I'd only ever jungle if you have a Garen, Irelia, Renekton, Cho, old Morde, whatever, someone that's capable of 2v1.

99% of the time in my games there's a jungler on both teams, so I don't really have that problem :/

I generally will only Jungle in normals if I have face-rolling with at least one friend. A good combo I have found is Udyr Jungle with Brand 2v1.

But if you want to solve your problem you should just jungle with someone with strong early ganks, like doing red buff Shaco at level 1.

If you want to train jungling in normal games, then make sure your team has viable 1v2 champion before picking a jungler. If not, then go ahead and play your normal game and see if you can play jungler in your next match.

Of course, if you don't mind losing then you can just go jungling in every game. After all, you learn from every game, be it win or lose.
