90 - 60 (flat) = 30
30 * (1 - .55) = 13.5
difference when getting %: 10% more damage, this means getting of 1 q would be more beneficial for your damage.
So the % spellpen drops the MR by another 16.5 . Is this really worth the last item slot, or would it maybe serve you better to buy something else (either more AP or defensive, which leads to the next part).
On the other bit: You have extra MR, however you don't get extra armor from items (even though she has a high base armor) and your shield will be down at times. Wouldn't it be more beneficial to stay alive even longer, maybe by buying an hourglass (if you want more AP and armor) or a guardian. These are just examples and, just as every defensive item, should be situational.
with the abyssal scepter your defenses are both 80-ish plus the sheild = 100-ish that decent for a mage isnt it? :/

Initialy yes I agree with you, its overkill early game but as soon as anyone looking to be durable buys merc treads you will still have that magic pen against them.
Im not sure I understand... that almost 60 flatpen is with the voidstaff, are you saying it's wasted?
oh yeh I just checked...that sheild doenst do the spell vamp *sheepish grin* but tibbers passively heals you tho.

Also void staff is very stupid if you're already having 60 flatpen, because of how the maths goes. (flat reduction -> %red -> flat penetration -> %pen), same goes for the 15% pen talent in offense. (Maybe you could take improved ignite and use ignite as one of the summoners, that is if you really need all those Mpen runes).
The build is also very squishie, sure you've got a RoA and an Abyssal, but what about the carries? They will feed on your soul when using this build.
Are you really sure on that you're getting healed from the shield? Thinking of the fact that spellvamp works on spells, not on toggles and similar things (like kog maw's W).
Don't know if you're aware of the numbers but spellvamp works in the following way (just a little info for the theorycrafters):
Single target: 100% spellvamp (of what you got).
AoE/DoT: 33% spellvamp.
also: check the spelling one more time (WotA bit).
The only 2 comments I would make would be Ionian boots of lucidity perhaps (to make it easier to dish out some damage in team fights), and maybe getting an earlyish Guardian Angel, because if you're playing Annie right, you shouldn't be dying too much, this makes it easier to stay alive.
