Cassiopeia Seems to **** on Akali pretty damn much. And a counterpick to AOE teams eg. you see Kennen or Fiddlesticks then PLEASE SUPPORT!!! PICK JANNA!! :)
you have a point lugi, but at the same time, once akali hits 6, if she is anywhere decent, she will **** that squishy bastard up

Again, if she's mid with you, and building AP like a smart one, she hits six and you start learning to be godlike with those stuns. And then, you nuke her down.
Just FYI, I've outlaned an Akali as Veigar... I just bought him and I had only played him on a free week or two.
Also, the shroud/stun advice applies for late game too.
Of course, smart Akali-s will stay in the shroud the entire time as it lasts longer than the stun circle.

E.G. You see the other team has a Morgana for mid. Who do you pick? Morgana is an easy counter for most AP champs while being AP herself. This is perfect for the metagame.
Another one is Akali. Unless your entire team is really tanky shes going to kill your carries REALLY fast, and it's hard to focus her/CC with her shroud. Put her in mid against a squishy, If she hits lv6 that lane is as good as lost.
