1. Thornmail is awesome vs another Tryndamere. I get this every time I face Tryn, and that usually wins the game for my team. I have never bought it against a team without Tryn though. I will, if I see three or more hard hitting melee champs on that team.
2. I would never get frozen heart if they have less than three AD champions, but I think one day I'll get it if I'm facing - say - Miss Fortune + Ashe + Riven, or similar. (I'm now tempted - in THAT situation - to take Frozen Heart instead of Thornmail.)
3. I always want to get Entropy or something similar, but I always end up getting Sanguine's plus Infinity Edge plus Phantom Dancer, and I fear I wouldn't finish more than Phage before game end. Having said that - I see most of the value of Entropy comes from Phage anyway.
4. I see situational value in your build, and therefore this guide, but mostly facing melee champions. Personally, I have the most trouble against ranged attackers (be it AD or AP) such as Twitch or Annie, and/or defenders such as Rammus.
Anyway, you've given me more to think about. :)
Also, keep in mind that if champion A has 82% to critical strike, it is factually impossible for him to land crits 100% of the time (unless he kills in 3 hits, of course) because the game modifies this chance to reflect true percentage, and not random percentage. In other words, you are much more likely to not crit one time in five than if the numbers were truly random. I hope that makes sense. This was the mod they made to dodge and crit random number generators a while back to "level out" those crazy crit/dodge streaks that make or break you.
