Always have Awareness as a jungler. That's pretty much not an option. Also, can you clarify whether
Offensive Mastery
applies to jungle minions? If it does, put the points there instead of alacrity.
Middle mastery tree is what i use, and it serves me well.
Also, no brutalizer? She really likes CDR. I never build ghostblade, though. It's really bad for her. Don't build it, and trade brutalizer for Last Whisper later.

Actually, I'm pretty sure she should be running 21/0/9 in both the jungle and lane.

I like 9/0/21 for the CDR buffs it gives her. I've bounced back and forth between 21/0/9 and 9/0/21. The damage is very good for her early game, but starting with 9% CDR and reduced CD on summoner spells is really nice too.

Well, but The Brutalizer denies Frozen Mallet and Atma's Impaler. Every Melee has to build a bit tanky, and this combo is great for it. And The Brutalizer builds, as you said, into nothing.
Riven is very similar with Garen at the item build.

I can agree with that. I'll try just skipping The Brutalizer and see how it goes. Especially if I've chosen to start with 9% CDR. At the very least, it might be worth getting the Giant's Belt earlier. That's not a bad suggestion.
And you're absolutely right; she's very similar to Garen. I've thought about just using the same build for Riven, just out of random curiosity.

And don't forget Wriggle's Lantern if you jungle.^^
