What he is talking about can be translated very well into LoL also.
A good read.

It's a good explanation why HoN has so many fewer players than LoL.
That kind of senseless elitism is understandable from players, and you just deal with it, but from designers? Hah.
Just because you're high Elo, MMR, or TrueSkill does not mean you are automatically more objective than the next guy, or that you understand everything perfectly. To use a tired analogy, it'd be like saying John Madden isn't worth listening to because he never played the sport well (as a player he was pretty average, actually) and he wasn't BEST COACH EVAR (he did well, but he's hardly the kind of coach people cream their pants over.)
To use a gaming analogy, it's like saying Artosis and Tasteless aren't qualified to speak about Code S games because they can't play at that level.

Thanks to Jsta for the sig image.

If you play HoN, you either are good and people obey you like slaves or you are bad and your opinion is useless.
imo, being an great player doesnt mean that your opinion is superior. The more you play, more you know the game, thats why old players are far better than people who started playing 3 months ago.

This is exactly how WoW is supposedly balanced. Around high rating PvP teams. Issue being WoW also has a PvE element (Player vs Event) so nerfs on one scale COMPLETELY **** with the entire use of any class/spec...
I don't like how the system works tbh....But what else can they do? Either make it so all champs are so easy that the game gets boring? Or increase the skill cap of all the champs making it incredibly hard for any new person to play?

That really messes the game for new players.
They dont have to see what only the best players think, but the ones who are playing for a long time as well.

Not because he stomps low elo, because he stomps in small skirmishes. (they probably nerfed him for dominion)
I hope he gets a buff to his durability on ultimate and a small nerf to his damage instead.
Didn't they buff his ultimate armor/MR gain when the changes came, then nerfed him again the patch after?
The balancing of xin zhao has been a total mess.
