Well i am not the best at LoL but that post let's me remember something i learned in DotA.

Play all Champs at least once,
play a buch from time to time,
play a handfull on a regula basis,
play two or three good,
master you favorit one

Kind of fits to LoL to caus u should know what the enemy can do ,
must know the roles and be feel familiar with them.
Also its always good to have someother Champ u are at least ok with if your fave is banned or taken
Thanks lgnition for the Sig.

I believe the longer you play the more roles you can fill in games, but just starting I think it's best to specialize in one of two rolls.

Most people start off finding a few champions they like and sticking with them. Yes, you must try each champion once or twice even if only custom or AI games, just to get the feel of the champions abilities/cooldowns and the like. That way when you fight against them in a real game, you know if you need to back off, be aggressive, or just time your moves right.

I think it's best to know at least two champions that can fulfill multiple roles if necessary and have at least two champions that specialize in one role. That way you can either choose a champion that best helps the team composition (for solo que) or play someone that you can enter god-mode with at any moment (for full team que).

That is the biggest difference. Are you by yourself or with a group. The main point is to win, right? Do what is necessary, whether it be playing a support champion you are pretty good with or picking the AD Carry you have practically mastered.

Go with the flow...
Personal habitual activites? Utilizing gargantuan idioms to fabricate intelligence.
