I'm a complete support player in Ranked Games, mainly because all I've done is played supports since lvl1 > lvl30 and that's what I do best. I didn't play Ranked in season 1, but I watched enough of it when my bf played. In season 2 I already was almost 1500 when we duo queued until we hit a lost streak (more like me hitting it alone, because he plays a lot when I don't play). My problem is that now that he's 1800 elo and I'm stuck at 1350, I want to get back to ~1500, BUT it's so hard as a supporter. We used to duo queue until we noticed that all the feeders seem to come to my team and I'm stuck in solo queue as a supporter losing elo. Is there a way for a support player to actually get elo? I know duo queue is the way probably, but bf won't play with me anymore because I'm a charm for incredibly bad matchups/flamers/feeders/soloers so I need an alternative or a nice AD carry to duo queue with me.
For the other roles: I can't jungle, I don't have solo top champs other than Rumble who is easily countered, my only AD carry is Ashe and I haven't played her in ages, and the only AP champ I'm decent at playing is Morgana who is always banned in every game. Should I start farming IP for other champs and learn the op champs which I hate to play or what the hell am I supposed to do? I want back my silver medal.
I thought maybe changing to EU West would reduce the amount of trolls and bad players, but people here are just as bad or even worse. How to get elo as a supporter? Or should I go back to playing Normal Games for fun, because in Ranked games people aren't even enjoying playing LoL?

Play AP instead. Lol.

Or Duo with a sick AD carry I guess. I dunno.

I can't imagine what playing this game as a support is like :P

You Stealt Ops it... and it's a done deal lol. To be short - play safe, support every chance you get. Communicate. Be aware. And buy your team wards non-stop!!!!!!!! Almost forgot... be opportunistic :).

No. It's simple as this. Play Sona. Mash QWE, Use R2win, and free elo.

If you play support you have a automatic 50% chance of losing lol.

Its a half empty half full kind of scenario.

I'm really good at it but if only my lane wins your still going to be in trouble.

I love playing support as well, but it's not the only thing I play. I can't imagine how hard it must be only being able to play support champs o.o What I recommend is saving up AP and practicing some fairly easy AP carries and AD carries. That way if someone else on your team can support, you won't be restricted to that area of the team composition. Some AP carries I would recommend are: Annie, Akali, and Kennen. Akali does take some getting used to, but her damage is INSANE and it isn't hard to pump it out. Kennen may seem like a hard champion, but all you really have to do is E in, ult, then hourglass and **** dies. Then Annie should just be EZ mode for anyone.

As for ad champions, the new champion Graves, is extremely powerful yet really easy to play/get used to. The only other AD champs I would suggest is Ashe, she's fairly easy to use/get used to and even if you're not carrying, your utility makes up for it pretty well. Hope this helps somewhat.

Curently I'm winning all my games with Taric because he can really get your carry fed. Also, he is pretty good in protecting your carry as well. However, I'm not sure if you will get out of elo hell by just playing support.

You need to play Supports that can actually carry in solo Q.

Taric and Alistar are the better ones for playing by yourself.

Also take the support which best fits your team composition, ie. don't take Janna when you have Amumu, Morg, GP etc.
In the above example Sona would be the better choice whilst Janna would counter that team :)
