Meh, you germs and your sensitive nature.

"I sexually Identify as an Attack Helicopter. Ever since I was a boy I dreamed of soaring over the oilfields dropping hot sticky loads on disgusting foreigners. People say to me that a person being a helicopter is Impossible and I’m ****ing ******ed but I don’t care, I’m beautiful. I’m having a plastic surgeon install rotary blades, 30 mm cannons and AMG-114 Hellfire missiles on my body. From now on I want you guys to call me “Apache†and respect my right to kill from above and kill needlessly. If you can’t accept me you’re a heliphobe and need to check your vehicle privilege. Thank you for being so understanding." - Guuse

we'd say Grammar Yankee (ragging on the americans) except that would be the people that Grammar Freaks (lets go with that) freak out on.

Now, I'm not specifically talking to you, mastajdog, but just people across the internet in general...
So, not to get too off topic, but people need to come up with a better demeaning word, other than "Yankee" to rag on us Americans. It is the single most non-threatening word. Ever. I see it all too often, on the interwebs. Lots of people think that it pisses us off or whatever, but honestly it just makes me laugh, because of how goofy it sounds. You never (or VERY rarely) hear that word in the U.S. There's absolutely no "bad meaning" tied to it, from our point of view.
All I'm saying, is you guys are doing it wrong.

Why bother telling them that their word fails?

"Grammar Nazi" is a term used by idiots who can't spell or format their sentences, in order to make the other party look bad because they KNOW they have bad grammar and aren't willing to improve, and end up making a big deal out of it in their heads.
The rest of us just go "oops, typo, fixed. thanks" and get on with our lives because we know grammar is a easy and not a big deal.
Or, we say: "Sorry, English is not my first language"
Wut?
I go grammar nazi sometimes and I have really good grammar (I think). English is also not my first language.
