Natural sustain in lane while pushing the lane, close to impossible to gank, as well as yet another game changing late game ultimate. Morg's damage is absurd for the kit she offers, and she will always be a priority pick/ban. Gragas - Gragas is a great AP carry due to his ease of farming, lane pushing and mobility. Late game Gragas has an absurd amount of burst damage and if he hits his barrell correctly he can end fights before they even start. Late game gragas can 2 shot carries. Gragas is probably one of the most difficult AP carries due to the fact that all of his abilities are skillshots that he MUST HIT in order to be effective in fights. Zilean - Zilean is one of the hardest AP mids to deal with when played correctly. He is also extremely mobile and extremely hard to gank. The problem with Zil comes with the fact that his only form of damage is bombs, so late game his damage really tapers off. Zil makes up for this, however with insane utility capabilities and a great ultimate. I view Zil as slightly less useful than the tier 1 carries, but not by much. Kassadin - Kass is a strong laner once he gets some mana and is very tough to deal with late game due to his burst capabilities, silence, and mobility. Kassadin can change teamfights by simply instagibbing the AP carry, or at the very least handing them a hefty silence. His major weakness is his inability to farm early game, and when faced against an agressive AP carry/jungler Kassadin can be denied of the crucial farm he needs to be strong late game. Sion - Sion is incredibly hard to lane against as an AP carry due to his straightfoward (easy) playstyle and his shield. His shield can save his life twice over and is the reason sion is so incredibly strong. Sion can farm entire creep waves with his shield, pick up boots of mobility and gank lanes 24/7. Late game sion's power tapers off due to the fact that he is pretty squishy and if you focus down his shield he just lost half his damage output for the majority of the fight. If sion doesn't cripple your team early game, then you are likely to win late. Ryze - Ryze is an awesome sustained damage AP (more like mana) carry. He is strong in all phases of the game, however he isn't too strong at one particular thing. Ryze is just overall outshined by tier 1 APs as he can do everything they can do to a slightly worse degree. He is really nice to have late game due to his natural tankiness but his burst is not nearly as high as other APs, though his sustained damage is pretty impressive. Kennen - Kennen synergizes well with aoe team comps and his late game damage and utility is really hard to match. The problem with kennen is when placed solo mid he can really be beat by quite a few AP carries. Kennen is a much stronger pick top, however with the current meta that just doesn't happen very much. Otherwise, Kennen's late game is up to par with that of the tier 1 carries.[/quote]
