Let's start with homophones:
Your/You're-
Your: the possessive form of "you", generally used before a noun
EX.
Your eyes are a pretty color.
Your dog is cute.
You're: a conjunction of You & are, can be used in any situation where you would say "You are"
EX.
You're looking very pretty tonight.
You're a lovely young lady.
To/Too/Two-
To: used as a function word to indicate an action if some sort.
EX.
I had to go to the store today.
I needed to get some mascara
Too: excessively or also
EX.
This shirt is too big.
I like puppies too!
Two: The number two (2)
EX.
I've got two apples.
My baby brother is two years old.
Our/Hour/Are-
Our: the possessive form of we

Hour: A measurement of time (60 minutes)

Bored: Feeling weary because one is unoccupied or lacks interest in one's current activity.
EX.

Board: A long, thin, flat piece of wood or other hard material, (as a verb) get on or into
EX.
This is a heavy board.

Effect/Affect-
Effect: A change that is a result or consequence of an action or other cause, to bring about

This effect is caused by adding dry ice to water.
Affect: To have an effect on, to pretend to have or feel something
