Phoenix makes a cool sound and flamey effects. But then again, Tiger makes a really cool sound and awesome claw effects when you hit someone with it.
WHICH TO PICK!?
Because it's all about aesthetics.

Your opinion didn't see me go 8 and 0 in the first 10 minutes of my game last night :P...And Tiger's clear time is slightly under that of phoenix. Tiger fits my play style, if I wanted to go by what the pros did I would, but I like going out with Tigerstance and blue golem start. Just works for me.

You need the Primal Udyr skin to even be able to make a descision :P

A single experience != how good something is. If you go 20-0 with AP Leona, does that mean she's good? No.
I never said "LOL Y R U TIGER NOOB", I'm not condemning you for going Tiger - I don't care, just arguing against you saying that it was better than Phoenix.

From what I've gathered it's basically personal preference, Phoenix is better for AoE DPS (thus usually used in jungle), Tiger is better for single-target DPS (thus usually used in lane).
No need to fly off the handle hence the reason there was a ":P" in there. And it's not a single experience...It's 95% of my experiences with Tiger Stance Udyr.
I understand what you're saying, and respect your opinion. But to me Phoenix is the "sit back and farm the jungle" whereas Tiger feels more of "get in thar and gank RAR". I'm not saying Phoenix can't gank, but early game when your AS isn't modified by items, Tiger Stance will almost certainly give you the most bang for your buck BECAUSE you aren't waiting to proc the affect. It's simply there as you attack. This is simply a difference in play style, both are viable options to me. I simply prefer one way.

I really like your point about Tiger stance, only thing that I could argue over that is Phoenix stance being AOE gives you a nice bit of damage to enemies around you. I know this wouldn't make too much of a difference in the early game but it's something to think about. I also just feel that phoenix stance looks cooler because clearly Udyr is a plane :D lol

Alright I'm using Phoenix lololol.
You fail to take into account the fact that Phoenix will almost always outlevel Tiger, and as such, will gank whilst higher level, and hence be more potent ganks.
Tiger's ganks are only slightly more potent than Phoenix's, though, since the steroid (which people always forget about despite the fact it gives 24 AD at rank 5), AoE damage, and proc are all brilliant in Pheonix, even if you don't get the proc off.

Now rushing a Wit's End (which has been optimal for Phoenix Udyr) has less consequences, since Wriggle's isn't very good for jungling any more, and is a lane sustain item now, essentially.
Phoenix rips through the jungle as it's always done, and the only advantage to Tiger was slightly (only very slightly, mind you) better ganks, 1v1 situations, and single target DPS, none of these are really present in the current jungle - especially when this jungle is all about farming and not ganking as much.
If anything, Phoenix has got considerably better than Tiger, in my opinion.
