Hi i used this build for my first time playing ahri and... well it was quiet fun. i think its a solid build even if i dont play archangel staff (i prefer deathfire grasp).
So gj and update this build =D

What you stated is tru but ahri, for me, is more of a mid char, and mid the only common mid char who has a clone skill is leblanc (case in which I guess you should max orb of deception first, I still have not encountered a mid leblanc to test it). Of course in order to let you chose between foes you can take the orb, but in mid you'll usually only have one enemy, and so you want max damage for the smallest mana cost possible. And fox-fire is an excelent tool to punis people following you, as you can keep running while still damaging your chaser and iif you are able to land two shots change places and become the hunter instead of the hunted. Anyway, it's pretty much a matter of choice, I tested maxing orb of deception first and preferred fox-fire, if you get better results with the orb, stick with it^^

After testing her all day, with various skill set-ups, I've come to realise a couple of flaws with Fox Fire first. In dual lanes, it has a habit of not hitting the champion with the lowest health, in-fact I've had enemy champions come into save their ally, and absorb my Fox-Fire, and every time I'm wishing I levelled Orb of Deception first to get the kill.

Fox-Fire also means you'll encounter the same problem against cloning characters, such as Wukong and LeBlanc. Although the lower mana cost and better damage numbers on Fox-Fire, I can't find it viable over Orb of Deception.

The only pros I can find for Ahri leveling Fox-Fire first, is that it has no cast time so lets you kite people, especially in conjunction with Rylai's Crystal Scepter or Boots of Swiftness. This would only be more viable on a "harassing" Ahri rather than an assassin Ahri.

Thanks once more for the feedback. I will as soon as possible add an "Initial item choices" chapter and a little chapter about in which cases it may be better idea to max the orb first. Also I'll include the meejai's soulstealer as a possible item in some cases (I don't know how I could forget about it, I use it very often but still not tested in Ahri). In like 5-6 hours it'll be done (right now I cannot update), so please check again when done^^

Just tried this build out with my first play through of ahri. I got to say it is a solid build. I personally think boots of speed should be taken first to help the kiting process and then just save up till tears of goddess. I also find that with ahri I will have to change my playstyle since she doesn't have that much dmg at first. Or of course I could have just been bad with her my first try. thanks for the excellent guide and I will give you a +1 :)

I didnt not like this build at all. Doreans ring - boots - catalyst is so much better to start with. I had such a bad early game cus of barely any HP. Nice to try out different builds/speccs/runes though.

just played another game with her, this time I went

dorans ring > boots of speed > catalyst the protector ? mejai's soul stealer > rod of ancients > sorc boots > rabadon's deathcap (then was gonna get lich bane) but the match ended.

ended up with 10/0/15 =) wish I coulda gotten the lich bane though, cause a fully stacked soulstealer + death cap woulda been amazing with it xD probablyw ould do more damage with my auto's than tryndy.

Thanks for the feedback, Sir Rabbit. I included both your will of the ancients idea and the combo you use, just changing the order of fox-fire and orb of deception for having a sure shot with the orb. I hope it doesn't bother to you that I include your ideas in my guide, but I want to make it as complete as possible, so if you have any problems with the inclusion just tell me^^

I just played Ahri for my first time a bit ago (before reading your guide) after playing her for a short while I could tell I was using a lot of auto-attacks between spells, just seemed natural, as such I knew right away a lich bane would come in handy, so I built one up.

Ult in + auto attack, + charm + fox fire + auto-attack + orb + ult + auto-attack + ult out

that's my combo. all takes place pretty quickly, but deals a LOT of damage thanks to lich bane procs.

however, I did choose to build up orb of deception before fox fire, I feel its just better for farming, fox fire may cool down faster and deal more single target damage. but orb of deception deals more AoE damage and can hit an entire minion wave at once. where as Fox fire can only hit 3 minions.

your runes seem to be pretty good for her, as she already has such low cool downs. so the focus on more AP help a lot early game.

and overall your item build looks pretty good, though I'd suggest getting will of the ancients, the +25% spell vamp is great, whenever you get low just pop into a minion horde and fire of a few spells and your pretty much topped off xD especially if you have your passive stacked, +60% spell vamp is epic with her AoE spells.

I'd say overall its a good build. just personal preference on whether you want fox fore or orb to be a stronger.

Thanks for the support^^ About the deathfire grasp, it may be a good item, but archangels (or tear of the goddess) gives you a lot of mana and regen early on, an as it takes a lot to completely farm it I prefer it as first object. But maybe I should rethink Zhonya as Vandroyi said and take instead Rylai early on (letting void staff as last object)... Or maybe even substitute void staff with deathfire grasp, as with Ahri you are truly dependant on your ult and need it as soon as possible... I'll update right now the guide with other choices of items, thanks for the feedback^^
