When I play ad champs I run 25 arpen from runes 10% +6 from masteries. So I'm going to be do be doing true damage to a cho until he gets a few levels/cloth armor and his armor reaches somewhere around 35
At which point I normally buy a brutalizer anyways.
Thank you for all the tips. Renekton sounds like probably what I'm going to try out. His mobility will ensure that I get in range of Cho between his cds, and he has built in sustain to kinda help keep up with chos sustain.
And if that doesn't work I'm just gna use pantheon. :P
Honestly I never lose toplane with pantheon. Its so strange @@. I never play him though cause late game he just doesn't bring the same domination to teamfights.

Cho'gaths 'base armor' is his armor at level 18 (without items, masteries etc.).
According to the wiki, that value should be 19 + (18*3.5) = 82. Mobafire's stats are correct, trust me on that one ;)
If you want to know the armor value at level 1, it's 22.5. There is no point in the game at which Cho'gath will have 19 armor, since that is the value at 'level 0'
Wasn't me who said they were incorrect. But him having 82 armour at level 18 is completely irrelevant to the question, which was about the laning phase.
And yes, Renekton for one can really screw Cho over early in the game. Just don't push the minions so he can farm, and keep dashing and stunning him, you can take half his health at level one. I suspect Udyr would also be able to hurt him a lot with Tiger Stance at early levels.
