Saying Happy Holidays is not a reason to "kick someone in the nuts", most of the time it's because not everyone celebrates Christmas. The "holidays" is a generalization imo of Christmas, Chanukah, and New Years (and maybe Kwanzaa.. but I personally don't know anyone who celebrates that). What would you do if wished you a Happy Chanukah? Punch me in the gut? Yeah. Exactly. That's why people say Happy Holidays. No need to be violent during the holiday season.
