If you're building him AP, you're really just having fun or trying hard to push lanes with spirit fire.

If you're AD, you're probably going to die in a few hits.

AD is better than AP. Tanky with a trinity force is better than both of those though.

Simple offtank DPS works, I guess.

Merc Treads, Warmog, Atma, TriForce, BT and FoN/BV/GA would make sense to me :)
