I agree, but I think her R and E and having low cooldowns make up for her lower damage somewhat.
Nowadays, having a big burst >>>>> having good sustained damage as a non AoE mage (like Karthus, people like Xerath have tiny AoEs so they barely count).
Basically, in a lane, people don't go in, have a fight for 20 seconds, then retreat, it's short trades or committing to a kill. As far as her E goes, it's not THAT good of a spell anyway. It's good, don't get me wrong, but it's a short, unreliable CC. Wouldn't you rather have Xerath's low cooldown Mage Chains?
Ahri is fine the way she is.
If you cant dodge her abilities then that is your fault.
I have played against people who could dodge my **** like no tomorrow and then the stupid ones that just stand there.
Her ball only goes in one direction.. Just move out of it. If it hits you at the tip of the shot it only does the AP dmg and not the true damage.
Her ULT makes up for her cooldowns I think. Once her ult is up and on CD she really can't get away from you.
That's my opinion.

@Xena, you have to admit her ult is boss though. <3
Naturally.
Nevertheless, a decent ult doesn't make a champion, and the fact it requires you to get closer to do damage is a fatal flaw.
People complain about her triple/quad flash potential....She's a 1v1 assassin but her abilities have JUST enough damage to make 1v1 a possibility. She's a lane winning champ. Her powercurve is similar to LeBlanc's but LeBlanc starts slightly lower in terms of burst (burst=full combo/time) Ahri on the other hand has a slightly higher start, she still does nice early damage for having **** ratios, but her mid game and late game fall off and as far as I can tell she actually drops well below a lot of other champ's bursts.
Sustained DPS champs are Cass/Karth/Victor(?)/Ryze all have short CD abilities with solid damage, but what keeps them competative late game is their ability to consistently put out damage over extended durations. They HAVE a burst combo but unlike Annie/Veigar their burst is slightly less. But unlike Annie/Veigar once their Hadoken has fired they have most of their CDs up to continue fighting.
Ahri falls somewhere in the middle. A perfect Hadoken for her would be E+Q+W+R+Q+R+W+R (with little to no minions present) or something similar spacing her CDs to keep her damage constant, as well as giving the player time to land what they need when they need to. But once her full rotation is out her charm is still on CD and she has no escape. Her Q/W come up rather quickly but being so intently reliant on landing her combos semi-perfectly her damage becomes unreliable, ESPECIALLY against skilled opponents who know how to dodge.
She LOOKS built for team fights because of her seemingly 90% AoE spell selection but what she excells at is short duration 1v1 fights..Somewhat of a "burst DPS" rather than sustained, the more people around when she's attemtping to fight someone the worse off she is because her Fox Fire (her highest base damage spell) then splits between the 3 people/minions in range.
People think she's OP because they fail at avoiding her "pillar mechanic" skill shots. They also think she's OP because her early game damage ca be overwhelming. What they fail to realize is that she isn't built for a long game. So they ***** and moan and try to say "OMG AHRI SO BROKEN 4 FLASHES WTF, SO MUCH DAMAGE", bad players making bad judgements, and blaming their frustration on champion mechanics that they can't beat.
It's the same situation in any game. There are some truths here and there about unbalanced or broken mechanics, but Ahri IMO is balanced on the duration of a game as well as her mechanics. Just my rant ^_^ cheers

Let me get this straight, Ahri the Ninetail fox is OP, I mean her ranged is crazy, her damage is crazy, even his coolddowns are insane. Ahri in my opinion should get nerfed, people have told me that just dodge her spells and you'll be fine, well I find it impossible to dodge her abilities for reasons:
1. Spirit Rush!, her ultimate enables her to dash 3 times in a row, making her 3 steps ahead of you.
2. Fox Fire!, Ahri releases 3 fox fires the targets near by enemies (champions are first priority), this means that this ability has an auto lock to any champion at her range, another insane ability knowing the fact that Ahri has a huge range reach.
I may probably be wrong about Ahri being OP, but is there anyway or anything that you can do to counter Ahri on 1v1 Solo mid lane?
I would also like to hear the Pro's and Cons on her.
Examples of Ahri's insane range are on the first 2:40 seconds of this video.

(Props on Ahri, I like her dane--- K-POP SnSd, RunDevilRun, big fan of them.)
I is is simple all you have to do is stay behind minions and then all of her spells are nullified and then just silence her she's not too hard to c,punter... I mean there are two main builds for Ahri
A tankier pure ability power build but then her cool downs take a very long time to come back up for her to do her combo again and in this case just dodge her attacks yes will take some adjusting to but nothing you can't handle
Now the second build I play with is you go cool down reduction with ability power. This is so you can constantly do damage even if you miss with one of your own moves. However this means your incredibly squishy like most assigns.
The other thing to realize is that if you can close the distance between you and her and your a dps character you'll rape face

It's funny because Ahri is underpowered, has subpar ratios, and practically everything she does can be dodged
I agree, but I think her R and E and having somewhat low cooldowns make up for her lower damage somewhat.
She is fun to play at any rate.
