Hello, I find your guide amazing. I've started Akali not that long ago, read guides and tried my own thoughts. Your guide helped me much as I'm not scared by numbers. Actually I'm always in search of something new, and it helped me to understand few things and I got a new idea. I didn't do my own researches yet, it's raw, but here are two points of it:

1) Rush Deathfire Grasp as first item other than boots. Why? The cost is friendly, also you get it through Kage's Lucky Pick, which gives you extra money. 60 AP is nice, cooldown reduction is nice, but active ability is amazing, allowing you to burst down enemies when they think they are not in danger at all. The idea of using it that way was in my head for quite some time, but with your guide I find a way to synergize it with other items/masteries/runes.

2) So the second idea that just came to my mind is to get some additional cooldown reduction. Why? Before reading your guide my combo was like this: q, then r, then autoattack and then e; by that time I had my gold spent on sheen or hextech revolver with some AP items for Rylai's (I mean midgame now). After that if i didn't manage to kill my enemy i couldn't repeat it having my abilities on cooldown and was forced to retreat or use twilight shroud, allowing my enemy to go away and heal. So, some cooldown reduction stuff along with DFG will make the full combo look like this: DFG active -> q -> r -> autoattack -> q -> r -> autoattack and then e. Looks pretty deadly.

I'm unable to try this out now and see if my words have much sense. Also I'm not good enough, my account level is 21 and I don't have enough runes, masteries and even slots for runes but I'll definitely try it.
Also I don't know if cooldown of DFG is affected by CDR stuff, but if not - you want to use it every 60 seconds so I suggest roaming after you get it (or often ganking, I don't know the proper word yet)
Excuse my english please.

Edit: I've found out that I'm unable to reduce cooldowns more than by 40%, so reaching them is possible with:
Items: Ionian Boots of Lucidity (15%) + Deathfire Grasp (15%) + Sorcery (Mastery - 4%) + 5 Marks (0.16% each) + 1 Seal (0.29%).
This will reduce your lvl 4 Q from 4.5 seconds into 2.7 seconds (4 -> 2.4 at level 5);
W from 20 to 12;
E (level 1) from 7 to 4.2, lvl 5 - 3 to 1.8
R lvl 1 - 2 to 1.2, lvl 3 - 1 to 0.6
Those boots and DFG totally cost 3660 gold and I think it is pretty possible to get it at lvl 6-8, not counting gold wasted on potions or gained with Kage's Lucky Pick. Before those levels you're not really able to get a kill with any kind of builds until your enemy is really bad, so I assume to concentrate on farming, coming back to get Kage's first time, and for Boots of Lucidity + DFG second time. After that you're ready to kill.

However I don't think you really need those 6% from runes.

Many people subconsciously defend their identity ("I am smart, things are very complicated and beyond anyone fulling analyzing them, etc") by disregarding this analytical guide. They feel threatened whether they admit it or not. Alternative and additional reason they downvote it: some people simply do not have the attention span and/or appeal to technical logic. They prefer "feeling"

I'm guessing that, if someone wanted to appeal to the majority of those people who down-voted this guide, they would create a "badass" title, with lots of "cool" and exciting words throughout their guide. Also, they'd keep the guide short to accommodate short attention span people.

I would never create such a guide that would appeal to those down-voters

Hey, just read your guide and admired it.

Not related to league of legends: you should (if you already have not) learn up on the Myers Briggs personality type system. Why? You love to analyze, model, and understand EVERYTHING. It is the only personality type system that is recognized significantly by the scientific community due to its objective and deductive nature.

Why I said this? I immediately recognized that you are incredibly similar to my personality type (INTJ), and I am acting based on syllogism - I induce you are similar to me (relatively) in personality type, I have benefited greatly from modeling people through the myers briggs model and find it endlessly interesting, therefore it may interest you greatly as well.

My name is Max, and I analyze the ****t out of things like bodybuilding, accounting, economics, etc.

This guide is so great. Love theorycrafting and even when I do not own Akali I read it for the pure pleasure of understanding her better and seeing the conclusions behind your math ...

By far one of my favourite guides!
