Hey guys, I'm in a slump and I cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel for the life of me.

I just feel like my absolute best is so far below par it's laughable, and it's being backed up by loss after loss after loss (15-19. 3-7 in the last ten games).

I can't win 1-on-1 confrontations.
I feel like I'm failing my part of the 2-on-1 confrontations by letting the enemy get away with 1 hp (if I ever try to get that last hit, I get ganked or killed by a tower)
I'm not posting stellar kill/death ratios, in fact most of them are negative.

I just feel like I'm flailing around and not making any sort of improvement, what can I do?

I play Sivir, follow a build that seems to work well, play paranoid (I don't push deep alone, I hit and run, etc) pair up with a tank character in a lane... what else is there that I can try?

Perhaps you should try different champions then... maybe Sivir just isn't made for you. I played her a lot when I started, then I moved on to Janna, Caitlyn and Lux. I have lots of fun with them now but I really suck with Sivir :P

You might look at some of the top guides here and read every single word, it might help you improve with some tips ;)

Anyhow, good luck, if you are on EUW I can play some games with you if you like ^^

I gave Nasus a shot, had some success. May have found my tank.

See, I know I can play Sivir because when I have a team that communicates and executes their jobs, I end with 9/2/8 or 11/4/7 and such. But when I have to carry a lane on my lonesome, I get plastered.

I dunno if this is healthy or not, but I'm trying really hard to not give a damn about my win-loss ratio and hope that if I do play well, others will notice and invite me to their games. Most of my victories come from teaming up with an ally/enemy in a following game.

I'm ever so sorry to break the news to you, but unfortunately you have to know how to carry a lane by yourself.
If you have a godly support who can do everything for you except for last-hit and do damage, then ANYBODY can succeed.
Same problem with SQ. People complain that their supports are not good enough / too passive / not being the godly support they saw one game. As a carry, you have to know how to take care of yourself. You cannot rely on others.

TL;DR : Learn to carry yourself.
Don't rely on other people.
Practice makes perfect. I know some people with over 600 normal wins and haven't hit over 1300 ELO because their mechanics aren't the best.
Find a GOOD build that the pros use. That's how some of my higher ELO got to their state of high ELO. They copied people such as HotshotGG play Swain, BigfatIp play Ryze, Reginald play Zilean, Dyrus play Jax and Singed, and so on. They copied their runes, masteries, and items to put their champ to the fullest potential.

Much love to The Nameless Bard for this sexy picture<3

I didn't say my support was godly, I said if I have a support who is halfway decent. I'm a teamwork player, not a "I'm going to run out and win the game by myself" player.

Also, I don't see how I could make progress 1 vs 2. I can hold them off and stand my ground, but not advance in that situation.

EDIT: And, of course, when I am having a good game someone on my team leaves. I don't suppose there is much call for a bad-luck charm like me on a team, is there?

Sivir is very squishy. I absolutely significantly think that the best solution for you is to play draft games, yes they're hard, but that's the point! You'll suck at first, but you will get so much better in so little time, and once you get back to normal games you'll find them extremely easy. That's what I did to get better in ranked games.
Just because I'm new in Mobafire. Does NOT mean I'm new in League Of Legends.

I'll give that a shot. Nasus and I seem to click really well, I soloed top against Wukong and Xin no problem and finished 21/5/9 (It was still a defeat thanks to an inept ally Mordekaiser and a phenomenal enemy Singed/Fizz duo).

This might just be me but, I don't like this idea.

Find your own form of playing a champion. People got mad at me for a while when I played Maokai and didn't get trinity force/deathcap like Chu8, I still carry games. People get mad that I don't jungle like oddone, I still carry games.

Find some build that's similar to what you want (that's how I started with Maokai, start Regrowth pendant ala Chu8) and adapt yourself/build off that. That's the true way to be good at this game.

Thank you to jhoijhoi for the sig, and all the dividers in the guide.
