I play SW: ToR nowdays because WoW doesn't do anything with the money they receive. The game is poorly designed and currently with LFR it's a worse version of warhammer online because you have to do the bad and easy pve to be good in pvp for the OP weapon and trinkets.
Also the PvP is highly unbalanced due to the PvE items in PvP. The PvP was only well balanced in TBC and when wrath game along with GhostCrawler ( lead game designer ) the game has gone downhill a lot and most modern MMO's beat WoW in terms of anything.
It's certainly not worth a subscription anymore, I think it's better if it's just a retail game because they don't offer a lot for the subscription you are running. You can also only do a raid 1 time a week and this is just because Blizzard wants to keep milking people out of all their money they got.
BlizzardActivision is the most greedy gaming company nowdays they are even more greedy then EA is. I rather support EA games then the idiots that are currently employed in ActivisionBlizzard because they do honestly a terrible job at making games.
Starcraft 2 and MW3 where a huge let-down for me. It was obvious that there wasn't put much thought into the Starcraft 2 multiplayer because terran is broken and some races got a significant adventage over another depending on the map. It got as much balance as Warcraft 3 does atm. They advertised it as the most balanced RTS while War 3 and Star BW where better balanced then SC 2.
MW3 was a huge clone once again off MW1, MW2 and black ops. Fun -_-

It's fun to see all those doomsdaytellers. Feels like the time Rift (you know, that bad copy of WoW) was released. Everyone said WoW would die, did it? No. Keep on yelling the game is ****, in my opinion it is one of the better designed MMO's. Blizz will still be sitting on the throne smiling down upon you hat0rs. :D
I don't think WoW will die any time soon. Even if it loses 80% of it's playerbase it will still go on. And I honestly don't think cataclysm is any worse than WOTLK. I mean, it has it's differences but overall Blizzard has made progress. I see people complaining that the game is too easy and blizzard is dumbing it down, but I've never seen anyone with Heroic DC 8/8 who complained about the game being easy.
Honestly, I think people complain because they've been playing WoW for over 4 years and find it boring now. WoW will not change it's core mechanic, if it did it wouldn't be WoW anymore, and after playing it for 4,5,6 years due to the lack of any real competition in online MMO's (I guess Aion did ok) people are bound to get bored and want some change.
Blizzard is doing a pretty good job. The new features they're going to implement in MoP look pretty cool and fun. Childish maybe, with the pokemon and all, but I'd take childish and fun vs being bored any time.
The only thing I really don't like is that Blizzard keeps opening new realms instead of merging old unpopulated ones. It's much more fun to be in a high pop server than to be in a low pop one, and they can fix that but they refuse to.
My WoW subscription is still up, but I'm one of those who have been playing it for a long time so even though I can see the positive changes it will still get boring eventually. With all that said, WoW has been definitely the most fun game I ever played. However, I can't wait for GW2 = D

@Darcurse They might stop making the game "Monthly pay to play"? That would make people getting interested, I know a lot of friends (including me) who would go back (for a while at least) if this hapened. So I would guess this would happen when all expansions are done or when titan is released. Or they just forget about a game they worked in years with. o_o
If I had to choose actually it would be "they just forget".
Srsly, maybe they'll keep it running but since Titan should take over, WoW will be done shortly after it's release.
MoP should be the last real addon already and after WoW is down the gutter they'll release WC4 to continue the storyline RTS-style.
And your f2p idea:
You wish...
The moment f2p becomes a legit option for that worn out piece of data they'll open a full-fledged cash-shop or tone down the monthly fee to 4-5$
Stick to GW2 (but since i smell sth fishy there, I'll w8 for another release like Tera)
