Need help on AD Gragas

Hi, I've been playing Gragas a bit lately, and I really fell in love with his Hilly Billy style, so I decided to master him in every way. At the moment I have pretty much understood his way of AP, but I'm really curious, because some people say he is also good as AD. When I looked at his abilities, it made sense in a way, because of the fact that his Body Slam applies AD damage, and his W increases that damage. His caskets doesn't get useless either, because they apply a attack speed slow, and his ultimate is..well, his ultimate :)

So which items do you suggest I go for?

Any item will be fine as long as you build tanky. Ad gragas has to come really close and has almost no escape mechanism when focussed because your bodyslam is your main source of damage. Try to build items like hexdrinker.

I've done the math and you can't really build full AD without tank items as you are melee.

Math-crafting gave me an interesting hybrid build though.
Items(no particular order):Haunting guise, RoA, Sorc shoes, Rylai's, Atmas, situational(I went with Abyssal scepter for damage and tank purposes)
Probably 21/9/0 masteries or 9/21/0 masteries.
Dunno about runes though.

Why would you not build him AP.

His ult is devastating.......

I know, and I already know how to play him AP, I now want to try him AD to explore every aspect of him. Besides, it's fun ^^

Building attack speed on him for trolls because it looks real funny, but really I agree with everyone saying you need to build him tanky. It has good synergy with your W and you can take a lot of damage, otherwise you just usually get blown up and not be able to do anything except for bodyslam.

Thanks for the tips, I played him with the Atmogs combo, and it was a blast! I now know how to play Gragas AD :) Thanks for all your advice!
