No love for Alistar?
Since Alistar's not there, my choice is kayle. She's just the best support IMO. Awesome slow, awesome DPS with and without item, good heal, good MS buff with heal and last but not least, DAT ULT.
IMO, Kayle has one of the strongest ultimate in the whole game.

I usually play only with supports, and when someone has already picked a support champ, I go with poppy.
So, as a support player champ, I would like to know the opinion of other players about WHAT IS THE BEST SUPPORT CHAMP?
I really like Karma and Sona, but janna and lux can be usefull as well. Kayle and Taric are not one of my picks, they dont really suit the support playroll as good as others. When I say "support", I mean a champ as Janna or Sona or Soraka etc, despite Kayle, Taric, Sheen and others are placed as supports champs, I dont really look at them in the same way as I look Sona, Lux etc, those are more offensive champs than support champs.
Anyway, for me Karma, Sona are the best. What about you, whay you think guys?
