Greater Quintessence of Experience, I've been wondering for a long time if these really are valid or not.. Haven't seen a single good example so far of when to use them..

I have my theories about them being viable for junglers with fast clear time, or a top laner.
Or maybe could they be used in a premade 5v5, with a Zilean in the team (his passive gives 8% increased exp).

Actually I have no idea, so please provide with some interesting thoughts about them.
Or are they just straight out bad ?

increased experience doesnt really give you much of an edge, especially considering, except for the mastery and zils passive, you are losing more viable quints just to get a slight edge advantage.

and also considering, the faster you hit 18 the faster they become worthless, they just aren't worth losing other quints for.

Only person it was really viable on was old GP. Deny all your creeps that you can and get a huge level advantage.

Yeah they are situationally applicable.

If you wanna use them well you'll need a bully like Mordekaiser or something. You take a utility spec into mastery tree, and you have a Zilean on your team.

I dunno if there's diminishing returns or not, but that's 19% EXP more than your opponent if not. The effect will only last for lane phase, but that's a huge effect, particularly if it can cause you to push your enemy out of lane quickly with your level advantage, and keep removing them from lane after the fact.

It's more of a competitive/arranged 5 play strategy, because you'll need a team looking to take advantage of that early advantage via dragons and global map pressure, not just in mid or top lane and whatnot.

TL;DR:

They are good, but I wouldn't recommend getting them unless you have a group of 5 who can capitalize on what you're doing with them (AKA crushing all lanes, and snowballing the socks out of your games with dragons that can't be contested, due to level/gold advantage from winning lanes, and eventually a very early baron.

That is the idea. Would be cool to actually try it out.

It's not a new idea. It's been done by me and some buddies more than once, and I saw Lapaaka and Sydtko do it once as well.

Warwick was level 7 when Shyvanna was still level 4 :P

They aren't good.
Only a VERY rare select few champions/playstyles work with them.
