Fiora - The Deadly Duelist (In-Depth Solo Top Guide)

It was the top guide with 80%, but as soon as it hit 20 votes and people had to stop commenting, it was just like BOOM GET DOWNOVTED! LULZ! I cried a little bit. Not really. I'm a man. (just kidding though, men can cry)

Anyway, what do I do when people aren't actually reading the guide it seems and downvoting simply on the cheat sheet. I explain the items that they say are better in my item section, so it's not as if I've said this is the only way to build.

Any advice/testing of the guide with results would be appreciated! I'm not sure where to put the note telling them to read the guide before downvoting because IT'S ALREADY THERE. Lulz. If they aren't reading anything, I don't know where to tell them to go to read that :O
Check out my Fiora guide!

There is nothing you can do.

When comment to vote is not permanent, people don't have to think about the vote, they just do it on a whim and bing bang boom, it's done and the guide gets a vote it may or may not deserve.

While putting on comment to vote doesn't change that, it EXPOSES that for what it is. People's ignorant and uneducated votes will show plainly, or they won't happen at all because the voter might realize they are uneducated and not want to risk embarrassing themselves publicly. Or if they do vote, the world will at least be able to see that your guide is suffering from a case off troolzheimersz.

To let you know you aren't alone, and this happens to literally everyone, see below.

I wish I had a different answer, but the sad truth is that people can downvote for whatever reason they want and there's not much to do about it. Of course, if someone downvoted saying "OMG, <item> is not in your cheatsheet!!" even though you've mentioned why you don't buy that item in the guide, feel free to point out to them that they should actually read your items section or even PM them.
However, most downvoters on new guides (especially for new champions) are trolls, so even that probably won't help much.

You should focus on making your guide the best it can be and ignore them. There's nothing you can do about them.

Quick thing about guides for new champions...
People will downvote for no reason, especially within the first few days/weeks. They want their build to be #1 on the charts forever. Once it's there, it's pretty hard to get it off there. Just look at the Maoakai guides... <_<

Thank you to jhoijhoi for the sig, and all the dividers in the guide.

Already at 4th (or 5th) place in all Leona Guides... but I do know that it isn't well written, meh..
(Btw. are there ppl who can read and give me tipps?)

Sad yet true. Another thing about guides for new champions, so many are made in the first few days that most get lost to the swarm and those that are discovered and voted to the top are not necessarily the best guides. I made the mistake of creating a guide for Ahri right after she came out, 3.5 months later and I've barely hit 1000 views. On the other hand, the #1 and #2 rated Ahri guides have a total of over 1,000,000 views!

Going along with the reaching #1, being #1 forever problem, that is happening for the Ahri guides now. The #2 guide is far superior and has much more depth to it than the #1 guide but has been stuck at 81% since it was made. The #1 guide is flashy and has nice sparkly headers but no real depth and is at 91% (and has been since it took the #1 place a few months ago).

I guess this means the community as a whole believes presentation >> quality, depth, and usefulness which is rather sad.

That is similar to what is happening with the number one and number two Fiora guides at the moment -.-
