why not add a trial option for heros...you know so you can try it out in a few matches before spending your hard earned ip

How it would work...

1-goes to browse the store for a new hero
2-looks at hero and clicks the thrid option trial(x) x=number of trials left on that hero limit would be 2-3
3-hero appears in nexts game picking screen

disagree,trolling, and agreeing goes below

one more suggestion...
bring back Promote(the summoner spell)but nerf it a bit, give it a time limit and limit it to only one hero having it per team

I actually considered this once, I thought it was a cool idea too. Too bad Riot is interested in making money, and the more IP you spend the more RP you spend too. If you have 10000 IP compounded because you tried out 8 different champs and hated them, then the next time you come upon a champ you absolutely must have then you have all the IP in the world to use. However, if you buy a champ to try it out, you'll be low on IP when the must-have champ rolls around and you'll have to resort to RP. This may not always be the case, but odds are they make a significant amount of money from that exact circumstance. Another point would be that a person may use a champion 3 times, do horribly with that champion, and decide to never touch them again. If this person were to use the champ during the free week (trial champs already exist if you count free week) then the person will have time to refine their skills with the champion and by the end of the week will be decent enough to want to buy the champion (with RP if the champion is just that good).

TL;DR: We already have free champs, and trial champs deter people from paying money and supporting Riot.

no. thats a terrible way to do business by letting all of the champions have trials, even if it is limited. the free week already serves as a way for trials. if everyone gets to play all the champions, even for a little while, then most of the champions will lose their mysteriousness and attraction. there's no uncertainty in buying new champions if u get to play all of them, no point of saving up money hoping to try and stick with one champion. while free week lets u try them out, its rotation is different every week and sometimes you might miss the champs you want to try. that is not a bad thing, it adds more value when you finally get to play the champion.

play a game like bloodline champions and you will see what i mean. of course,BLC and LoL are two different games; where BLC has almost no metagame, LoL has a large part of it. the existence of metagame and pursuit for new unlockables is why free heros in BLC works but not in LoL.
