Kog is weakish early game and ridiculously strong late game, Tristana is fairly good throughout the game. I like Kog better overall though.

Trist better then Kog? I wouldn't agree to that after the recent free week.....
I feel that with Tristania she cant carry as well as Kog'maw. Cause all my Tristania games have been kinda weird and I never really manage to carry until I get to very late game. But with Kog'maw I picked him up during free week and could do it from the get go, only once had game I lost with a bad score where I didn't carry, which was without premade guys. Also I feel that Tristania lacks the same damage as Kog got enough of a attack steroid from Q and W. While Tristania got her E that just reduce the heal and life steal, Q not being to good at start and W as the risky burst move/escape. Also her ulti being more of a final nuke at lv 6 and get the hell away from me, compared to Kogs poke and ability to finish off running enemy. Also not forgetting it's a good way to check those bushes without doing it so with your face.
On the other hand, its easier to get away with Tristania and you are not as dependent on allies to defend you from harm, which Kog is.
Thats just my feeling after playing both of them for the short time I have. But still going to try Tristania more time to time, to see if I'm right. But now I feel Kog is better with all support bought Leona maybe, as Tristania shines in that lane I have heard.

This is just my opinion, but I feel like AD Tristana is the only viable option between the two. Before you rage at me saying that AP Trist is entirely viable, I agree she is....but only to a point. Her ratios are great for AP. The problem lies in her cooldowns. They are just too long to make use of her abilities in an AP manner. Because of this, she is heavily reliant on her auto attacks, which without any AD, you might as well just be tickling the enemy. Plus, she has an attack speed steroid that you can pretty much only make use of with AD.
So basically in my opinion, AD Trist is really the only way to go with her when playing normals/ranked. AP Trist may be more viable in instances such as ARAM, etc. Feel free to agree or disagree. I won't hold it against you....for too long :P

P.S. ap trist is maybe viable in solo q...not ranked. She is gimmicky imo, getting kills that could have been secured via ad trist with a couple more seconds. Rule of thumb imo is that if you have a REAL choice btwn ad and ap on a character, then ad is the way to go because auto attacks are sustained.
