Go for 2700K ofcourse if its cheaper than 2600K :D Can you give me links, I'm sure there's something to why 2600K is cheaper.

Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.

Really weird of them to lower 2700K price to lower than stock 2600K price. So yeah, if 2700K is cheaper than 2600K, go for it, since you won't consider i5 2500K.

I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

Well, if you're ok with spending 60% more money on 10% better performace then go ahead.
I'm personally not made of gold though, so I'd go for the better price/performance.

"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.
I did not get laid that night." - Berengier817

Realistically there is like minimal difference between 2600K and 2700K, but there is kind of big difference between 2700K and 2500K. By some benchmarks, 2700K is about 20-25% faster than 2500K. But looking from a price/perfomance perspective, 2500K is the best out there.
So yeah conclusion of this thread: If you're looking for great performance with good price, go for 2500K. If you have extra cash, take 2700K. Or you could just get 2500K and put money you have saved from not buying 2700K and invest it in other components.
