Vayne and Taric/Alistar used to be popular. Basically because if the other bot lane ever moved near to a wall they were dead no questions asked.

Vayne is pretty bad in lane phase ever since the jungle rework, because hard engages aren't worth the danger of the enemy jungler showing up.
Now I almost feel like just trying to get a support like Nautilus or Janna, something like that, and running life steal quints and stuff and playing super passively in lane phase might be the way to go. That way when it comes to team fights, you have a really good bodyguard protecting you instead of a Soraka who does less to protect you.

@ MissMaw: for the blood boil correct? I had thought of that. But thought I'd ask you guys.
@ DuffMaster: I'd be playing the support since my friend is a lot better at LoL than I am. (which isn't to say that only bad players play support, but I defer to him, so that we can get the most out of Vayne since she is a good carry) I'm not a great support, but I am working on it.
