The main thing I would suggest is to FARM. Farming is the art of getting as much gold as you can by killing minions and monsters.
Don't even bother going near your enemy in lane unless you want a lasthit or know you'll win an exchange of damage.

I see :], yeah I feel like farming is something I need to get a LOT better at... I don't feel like I time those last hits very well :/. It'll come :D
I just watched the video and all I can say is: OH MY GOD DUDE, BOOTS, OH MY GOD.
They make you go zoooom. Buy them, plox.
Wow, ok. Nevermind farming. Just get a better grasp of the game first.
Since you have ZERO grasp of any item mechanics; just stick to the recommended items.

Keep in mind that the game is NOT about killing the enemy players. It's about amassing gold to make yourself powerful so you can push down the enemy towers and finally kill their nexus.

Also use recall when you're low on HP and mana. Use it a LOT more than you did.
And don't buy so many potions. Just buy a few early on, they don't help much later on.

In theory your opponents would be between your levels, but matchmaking often doesn't work the way you'd expect.
