The only really viable position he can fill in 5s is jungler, and thats because he doesnt really need pots to do it. So it leaves him open for stronger starting items, which leads to earlier ganks, which leads to him getting more powerful faster, and **** tons of attack speed on him is stupid powerful with his passive. In 3s he is kind of a beast but not a god. Altho i HAVE seen a good friend of mine play Magewick with sorcerers shoes, wota, and a rabadons. now THERE was something to laugh at. At lvl 10 his swipe was hitting for like 600 damage, absolutely stupid. Crazy sustain, good to great ganks with his ulti, idk. Guess there is also some of that "flavor of the month" thing going on too...
