After about 1½ i have decided to leave mobafire.com.
I recently had 3 top 5 guides (Nunu, Master Yi and Vlad)
A person got angry at me for no reason (as i know off)
But my point in this thread is that i wanted to have some answers before i leave

1) Is it possible to actually delete your account?
2) Should i let my guides stay on mobafire? ( this is my guides Nunu Master Yi Volibear Vladimir )
3) Why don't mobafire do anything about trolls? since people like TheLostCrusades is clearly a troll, made this account to downvote all Hecarim Guides with " Hecarim is a ******. "

BTW the link to my guides are not an commercial, it's just if people find them useful i will leave them (if not i archieve them)

On your 3rd question, do you know the ultimate solution for it?

Atleast allow people to report people, get the downvote removed and ban the user. If it happens multiple times from same IP, IP ban the person

IP bans are just ******ed for like 12 years now. Since ISP gives u dynamic IP, and not static, u would eventually ban random unguilty person.

You are able to report people and if you have enough proof that this actually is spam and/or fits into another category then the mods might be able to help you. On the other hand people are allowed to have their oppinion, so when changing votes etc. you need to be very careful.

Archiving your guides doesn't delete them, it only makes them harder to find while stating that you are not updating them anymore (which is the case). Oh, and remember that people can get annoyed easily, and that even if some people seem to be of a type you don't like they might not represent the userbase of MobaFire.
I'm back!

LoL if I haven't already seen this exact statement 1000 times now.

The next set of things I'm going to say might seem a bit deuchebaggy, but it's me being honest take it or leave it.

Expecting Mobafire mods/admins to be able to outright PREVENT trolling is unreasonable. This is mainly due to the fact that the number of people delegated to site management is rather small compared to the number of potential "rule breakers" or "trolls". As well trolling occurs in real time (for the most part), thus admins/mods cannot prevent the situations and their jobs primarily can only be done after the fact.

The/These issue(s) in general has/have been discussed quite a bit on the Vet forums in attempts to create a system that is less abuse prone than the current one. Simple fact though, the current system is bar none the most fair option available to the people that frequent this site.

People CAN be reported and have been, our mods do a fantastic job of dealing with situations when they arise, I don't know where you got the idea that you can't report people. And as Morr said, IP bans are difficult if not useless.

Overall I can understand your position, but I do not actually agree with your line of questioning, nor your reasons. Trolls come in all shapes and sizes, and any variety of locations, your job as an internet user is to learn to IGNORE such things. Your guides got troll voted, that happens, IF they were really worth the top 5 rankings they had, then they'll get back up there. Otherwise they won't.

All in all what you're doing is complaining about an issue that has the potential to affect anyone, but rather than consider the possibility that there is little to nothing that can be done about trolls, due to their nearly infinite size and scope of affect, you decide to ***** at mobafire's management as though their combined power is capable of stopping a force that large.

You're leaving because your guides got voted down? Not much of a reason to me, but that's my opinion.

The mobafire all in all are more or less who knows most people, i know people who make their friends make an account to upvote their guides and i've also seen people get their friends to downvote guides for no reason, other than they might have been downvoted by some.

I know you can report people, but first of all they just make an new account, second of all why don't people who make an account just to troll vote some, and yes i mean troll vote, comments who clearly don't seem to be true or reasonable,
I saw a shaco guide called "Shaco is comming to town" The downvote was "There is no town in lol therefore shaco can't come to the town" and i was like wtf? how is this allowed to happen, he got downvoted because of he downvoted another guide.

I just don't like how the mobafire community is and why so many things are allowed.

Also the fact that people who never updates their guide still are allowed to have them in the top, etc. the top vladimir guide is now misleading and filled with wrong info due to vlad patches

If you thoroughly read my response you would have noticed that I said it was nearly impossible for anyone to stop such things from occurring. But you either missed my point or didn't take the time to read what I said. Either way you're not paying attention, nor are you actually GRASPING the concept that I'm getting at.

The "community" IS NOT made of a bunch of trolls, the CORE community is a group of people dedicated to helping each other, then there is the fringe, people who dedicate no time to the site, that group of people is most likely responsible for your guides being down voted.

If you're upset about someone trolling you, then you should probably leave the internet entirely, they're everywhere (trolls) and NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO STOP. Don't blame the Mobafire community when you aren't even really apart of it.

Dunno if its optional, but I guess a PM to a mod would help.
