His range got nerfed slightly a while back, at least according to scarra (who knows his stuff) and that's the reason we rarely see him nowadays in tournaments (once again according to scarra). I saw him played as a counter to Vlad not too long ago. Can't remember what game though. But it worked hard! E as soon as Vlad goes in. Suddenly you either have a chance to q him for a combo or he pools and with one skill you took your E damage, his pool plus your passive off him. Kind of logical really.
