Ok so i have been playing kass for a while now as my main ap mid champ. but i am very close to starting ranked games and since he is perma banned i want to find a replacement. Im looking for a champ that is more than 1350 and works well in solo que.
I also enjoy champs with unique playstyles. i find champs more fun to play when i dnt see everyone and their mothers playing them.
Thanks to Miss Maw for the sig!

i love to play Katarina since she can roam easily and no1 knows how to deal with her^^

just pick her in good situations :)

apaort from that, play wahtever you enjoy and if possible try the champions while they are free to play before you invest valuable ip into them

Basically play what you like aside from kass and morg, since they are the only mids that are perma banned in mid. Ryze is a monster.

Ryze is a monster.

Ryze? A monster? Dude, a fed cass is a monster. A fed ryze is just..... theres no word strong enough to describe all the horror a fed ryze can do.

Kassadin is higly overrated IMO. And I guess I'm not the only one since he isn't banned at 1350-1400-ish ELO
He is perma-banned at low ELO (low ELO being 1300 and under in my dictionnary) since people there can't adapt and/or counter Kassadin, wich is kinda easy. I don't know if he's banned at 2k ELo thought. I guess not since he's so easy to counter. Ahri is also really easy to counter and play agaisnt, wich is the reason I don't recommend either of them. But hey, that's just my opinion. You do what you want with it.

Vladimir, Karthus, Cassiopeia and Ryze are must buys, to be honest. All of them are really good in a lot of match ups. Just remember that Karthus is A LOT harder to play than you might think. So is Cassiopeia. You might want to try out LeBlanc too. She falls off a lot late game, unless she's stupidly fed, but she can shut down the enemy's mid to a point of no possible comeback for him. Xerath can be very powerful once you understand how to use him properly. Wich is hard. Really hard. I'm not fund of Fizz, personally, but I know a few people who kick *** and destroy most champs mid as Fizz. You might want to try him out to see if you like his mechanics. You should try out Galio thought. He's just all around awesome. And he's a hard-counter to every AP champs out there, if you build yourself properly.

Even trought I feel like Vladimir is much stronger as a solotop, he is viable mid. Just becareful not to waste your pool for nothing. And beware burst. You might have infinite sustain, you're not invincible. I've seen a few Rumble mid too. I prefer to play him as a solo-top, but he can be pretty strong mid, from what I saw.

If I have any other suggestions, I'll add them :p

+rep me and you'll get good karma, wich means you won't be reincarnated into a rock! Isn't that awesome?

But yes this idea has been discussed more than Pam Anderson's tits in a plastic surgeons office.

yeah this guy says it all. Fizz in mid is hilarious once you understand how to work his Playful / Trickster efficiently. and LAWL at:

What everyone above me said.

I'll drop Malzahar in the list too. Even though he is not very played, and he does have some issues (no escapes, not that good late-game scaling), he is still extremely powerful.

Many thanks to MissMaw, LaCorpse, Xiron, Arcana3 and Joxuu for making me sigs!
