If someone liked pokemon it'd be fine, if they were really into it it would be weird but still acceptable, if they share that fact with everyone as if it was something to be confident about then it's not normal at all. Those 3 "levels" are pretty distinguishable.. liking, loving and worshipping. The first is fine, the second is weird, the third is really freaky behaviour.

Worshiping Arceus is actually acceptable, so Pokemon is the only loophole to your argument.
