No I don't get any financial benefits from this directly.
What I get from people liking my facebook page and following me on Twitter is a group of people who have quick access to updates that I might post in the future, like guides, or if I decide to stream, I can update them that I am streaming and whatnot. It also allows me to stay closer linked to my friends which is what it's mainly good for at this point! :)
It also creates a hard number that proves that there is interest in what I'm doing.
So while I get no financial gain from having a facebook following, the fact that people are able to quickly access my future projects could produce financial benefit.
For now it's just for fun though! :) I don't have a stream running and I'm just getting the ball rolling.
