Currently the line up is Merc Tread, Frozen Heart, Athene's Unholy Grail, Locket of Iron Solari, Aegis of Legion and Abyssal Scepter. The idea stemmed from the Iron Solari Locket just having been released and I though, hell, with his passive that health regen aura would be awesome. From there I kind of built him into an Aura/Support Tank who blinds and drops turrets. It allows you to get a Heart of Gold early on as well to help out your gold. I started maxxing his Grenade first (blasphemy, I know) and using it as his early game DPS. That thing does sick dmg early game and like I said, if you are straight in front of a dude, it is much easier to land. One point in turrets to start, then grenade and missiles the same way but then I would max grenade and rockets. Ultimately, this build doesnt use it's turrets for dmg, mostly for the slow and to hold minions, so it's not a huge deal to max it. Honestly, even normally it seems like turrets rarely do much beyond their slow with his ult. They're too easy to simply kill or evade.
My one major flaw is usually early game Mana consumption because I tend to spam everything constantly. When jungling, blue mitigates this obviously. The nuts amount of CDR from items and his ult lets me spam everything all the time. Heimer can gank but when I was using him, I tended to play him light on ganks, built Heart of Gold and farmed hard. He can go through minions like tissue paper. Then by the time team fights happen, you got the auras and support to make your team win. Plus, you tend to get focused in team fights. So being tankier and being able to drop blinds and stuns always helps your team secure kills.
The reason I think that Jungledinger would not work is because of his ganks and item dependency. As for ganks, since his stun is really hard to land and his slow is situational (not to mention he would have to have his turrets in place early), I find it hard to believe that Jungledinger could land a good gank before his target gets away or kills him. Since Heimer has a low movement speed and is very squishy, the target could quite possibly take Jungledinger out while he was ganking.
Secondly, Heimer needs a lot of money for Rylai's so that he doesn't die so easily in teamfights. The jungle offers very little in the way of cash and would leave Jungledinger ineffective mid to late game without money generating items.
Sorry, I just don't see how it could work. Maybe post a match with you playing the build so players can understand it better.
