I can't remember the exact things it tracks but, it's basically a stat whoring website.
It tracked the MLG stats and anyone can see them for free.
It tracks the item that champs buy and their winrates with buying said items.
It also does a lot of other things. If you like keeping tabs on everything, sure. Subscribe to it.

Well you have to aske yourself one simple question. Are you lazy or not? If yes subscribe to it and get all the infos but they will be for no use for you as you are to lazy to analzye them and stuff. If you are not lazy you can find all the stuff for free on reddit and get probably even more there as some ppl really put work into their posts there. On the other hand some don't so you have to read through somet stuff.

No, they are absolutely not the same exact thing. Purchasing RP shows your support towards the company that's providing League of Legends (for free might I add). It's those kind of purchases that allow for the Riot Games staff to continue to improve the game for everyone to enjoy at a faster pace then they would without these generous contributions. Going about it with your point of view is a closed-minded way to perceive RP and can be summed up as the 'poor kid's argument' against RP buyers. Even if the people purchasing RP don't realize it, it's because of them why content gets added quicker.

Well Toshabi, someone could argue that by subscribing to ELOBUFF, you are supporting the teams that are sponsored by ELOBUFF like CLG for example. That's one way to look at it. Really though, if you like what you saw with their "free stats for MLG Anaheim", definitely go for it because it looks pretty neat.
