Armour yellows and flat MR blues are pretty much universally strong, so those are a good place to start.

I would actually recommend the MR/level glyphs rather than the flat mr. It scales along with your opponent's damage output, and in the end is far more valuable.
Also for the AD book Quints, I would use Armor Penetration, as it's valuable later in a game, and invaluable on assassins.
Aside from those, Luther3000's post is right on. That's what I had for a long time as well.

Yes, but you're going to want the flat MR if you're mid or against an AP top lane. Some mid/top lanes can be almost impossible without flat MR.

If you want some ArP take it in reds, AD quints are proportionally better than AD reds.
usually go 1 for AD and 1 for AP.

What I first did was I had an AD page and an AP page, then I had an AD, AP and suport page.
I made the AP/AD page genreic for anyone being flat ap or ad quints with armor/magic pen reds armor seals and mr per level glyphs and for support page I added armor marks,seals mr per level glyphs and gold quints. Now I have more runes so depending on if I do solo que or a 5v5 team game depends on what my 4 pages are...the 4th page is ms quints ap per level glyphs armor seals and magic pen marks...new page iv been trying for kat/vlad it's pretty good and I like it!
