The thing you are talking about is called BBCoding and can indeed be used in the way explained above. You can also however use [icon="Volley" size=30] which will yield
. Even Wiki articles can be linked with BBCoding, seeing [[Proving Grounds]] yields Proving Grounds!
There are many more funny tricks you can pull off with BBCoding, there are many guides such as jhoijhoi's guide to making a guide, Matt's BBCoding guide and my columns guide. Check it out ^^
