I'm obviously a better Mundo than Malphite :D
Things I noticed during the games:
- good ward coverage (NA players take note :P )
- people are often using their flashes just before they die, if you're not at least 90% sure you're going to make it, don't panic flash and waste it
- be decisive when you're fighting so you don't end up giving away kills / taking uneeded damage

Yea I put that second ward down on top of the first because I wanted to buy giant's belt and had no room in my inventory, so I was like **** it and just threw it down anywhere.
