I just bought Ashe (new player here) and played my first real game. I was laning with Vayne (not a good combo I'm sure but we were doing co-op vs AI and we didn't really know any better) and it turns out that Vayne was simply destroying. Everything Ashe can do, Vayne can do better, it seems. So, I read a guide on Vayne by jhoijhoi who also wrote a guide on Ashe. In his Vayne guide, he said Vayne is pretty much a better Ashe. So... is it?

Well Vayne is perhaps easier to carry with
I Can imagine. She's a "hyper-carry". But Vayne
lacks the same initiation as Ashe does, in regards
to her ultimate. Ashe's ult is among the best initiations
in the game.

The thing is, Ashe may not have as much damage, but she makes up for that in utility. Unlike Vayne, she has a slow, a free Clairvoyance and one of the best initiating abilities i the game.

As for Vayne, her kit is built around murdering with some support. She doesn't really have a reliable stun, but she has a powerful steroid, (in other words, an abilitity that increases her power), a mobility tool and the ability to deal true, unmitingated damage based on the max HP of your enemy.

The point is that she will have a far better time if she gets a reliable stun, unlike Ashe, who can use her ultimate to stun, then her slow to effectively trap an enemy champion. They are both late-game carries, but how do they carry is the difference.

Did I help you? Do you feel nice today? Take a look at my guide,I would really appreciate it.

I thought the same...

Ashe has various slows, an AoE spell, a free Clairvoyance, extra gold, and a long-distance stun / slow.

Vayne has a roll that increases the damage of her next auto-attack, a knock-back, and increased AD / movement speed. They're nothing alike, lol.

I think you meant the title to be "Is Vayne simply better than Ashe?".

Ashe is like low damage output per right click utility carry with low mobility in every regard.

Vayne is like super hyper damage per click with mobility out the *** and almost no utility at all.

I'd say it's like comparing apples and oranges, but it's really more like comparing hamburgers and ice cream.

I would have to say Vayne is better than Ashe for many reasons or if your asking for a support then Ashe wins hands down.

IMO
  • Vayne deals more damage in the beggining
  • Ashe her passive requires that she does not move to use it
  • Vayne's passive is a good chase
  • While Ashe has her slow Vayne speeds up to get ahead
  • Vayne has a stun when she knocks her opponents into terrain
  • Ashe's Ulti is a good team start or to save your allies
  • Vayne's Ulti gives her even more chasing components

So if essence Vayne is a better carry. IMO

Please don't rant me for giving my opinion Ashe has her pros but a lot of cons
Check out my guide and +Rep if I helped please.

Thanks to Wombo, JhoiJhoi, Keondre, MissMaw, Arcana3, TinyStar & Effinvices for the amazing sigs! <3

It doesn't require her not to move to use it, it requires her not to auto-attack, basically meaning, she's got 100% crit chance on her first shot every time she enters the lane.
