I think it's perfectly conceivable that he got out of the "bat" somewhere in the city. I mean if he has such ridiculously advanced technology I'm sure he has a parachute. The bigger flaw in that is that the fallout would've ruined the city anyways... >.> But oh well.
Like the review I linked said the movie is more focused on the emotional response of the audience. The focus of the movie isn't the plot itself. So, plot holes are more forgiveable.
Plus, did you notice that it goes from the middle of the day to the middle of the night in that "8 minutes before Bane ruins the stock market" scene? :)

lol Mowen I actually did notcie it and spent the worst part of a few minutes pondering about it.
BTW whats so hard to understand, that the AUTO-PILOT was on when he ejected. This means he ejected and it auto-piloted to the ocean.

I believe that they said the flying thing had auto-pilot, then again I think I remember them saying they hadn't yet equipped them with it yet, but if it did, I think they cut some scenes out from the viewers to see and basically he sent the flying machine deal off on auto-pilot with the bomb. That was the best way I could put that lol. More towards the end when Fox was checking out another one of those flying machines, the last one to have driven it was Bruce Wayne leading us to believe that was the machine he was last in. I don't ****ing know.? I kinda missed what happened there. But, I think that's what happened. So basically, he sent the auto-pilot off with the bomb and he hopped in another one and got away and everyone thinks he's dead. If that's what happened, then a lot of those scenes are extremely misleading with him in one of those contraptions not having shown the swap.
