I feel she's a nice pick. Cait has a great early/mid game, but tend to fall a bit late game. That's the safe pick case. Kog and Vayne deal a lot more damage tbh, but that doesn't make Cait bad.
From 0 to 10, Cait > 7.5-8 while Vayne > 9
Yes, she's annoying. Win your lane and you have almost the whole match on your hands

Cait is an early game champion, meaning she has higher base stats than most other champions, but her scaling isn't as good. A good
Caitlyn will take advantage of this at least with her passive, and can usually make good trades when it comes to damage. In the later games she is simply a source of DPS, her abilities can't be very reliable on her at that phase due to higher cooldowns and the lower scaling of her abilities.
Overall she is a solid choice, but I think she is best as a counterpick against the late game ADCs like Graves and Corki

that's actually not true, I went back to verify my thoughts and she's on par or subpar in base stats to every AD out there. She's even slightly weaker than Twitch

also not true, her ultimate and Q have some of the best AD scalings in the game, however W and E scale off AP, even so they have pretty good base and a good ratio.

we've established that lower scaling is false; every AD carry is a source of DPS, that's the point of AD carry; a cooldown of 6 on her Q and a 60 second cooldown is not very high.

by late game carries I think you mean

Thanks for the Signature MissMaw!
If you want insane range get a champion that actually scales well into late game like
Tristana
Kog'Maw and
Vayne are by far superior and so is
Tristana.
The only reason i would go with
Caitlyn is if you want to have some fun
Other wise her presence does fade late game. While the 3 champions i listed maintain a large presence and influence in the game

Early game trist has **** range... For lower elos Cait is actually quite a solid pick because games are less likely to go into late game.
In my experience games actually tend to last a lot longer at lower skill levels because no one has any idea how to close the game.
I find that one team happens to roflstomps one team and then procedes to sweep the floor with them because how unbalanced skills levels are.

Welp, you caught me this time. I based that post on personal experiences playing as Caitlyn, which isn't often as I prefer Ezreal to ADC and even then I rarely take it if I can help it, and with Caitlyn players. I didn't do any fact checks nor did I do any research on the matter. Good job sir, your OCD has served you well.
I do stand by the fact that Cait's Ult and Q are not reliable in team fights, mostly because the Ult is easy to read and block while,

I do enjoy the fact that I seemed to have pissed you off enough to pick apart my posts in order to find the smallest fallacies in an effort to try to make me look stupid. I look forward to the next arguement we have. Also "She's even slightly weaker than Twitch" makes her seem super weak.

Since Caitlyn is free this week and I had to play Ad Carry during my first game of the day, I decided to give her a go, since then , I played her exclusively as I just fell in love with the sheriff of piltover and her razy range and playstyle, I managed to carry 5 games out of seven to victory, and the two others were really close games.
I'm actually thinking of buying her to be able to play her even after the free week ends and also in ranked, but most people tell me that she's not a safe pick as she doesn't scale like a Vayne or Kog'maw, which I didn't really feel since good positioning while abusing her insane range allowed to survive most team fight while destroying the enemy team, and her total lane domination in early game did shut down any carry I was up against. So I ask you, how do you feel about Caitlyn? and do you recommend her for a low elo player?
