look through here on the gaming laptops, you can customize it how you want, they often run sales too, and have terrific service -- just make sure they ship internationally (almost positive they do)

Thanks to TRUeLM, Plastictree, Scrax, Xiaowiriamu, foggy12, JahGFX, jhoijhoi, msrobinson, JEFFY40HANDS, Nyoike, MissMaw, and me :) for the sigs!

I doubt you'll get a good gaming laptop in that pricerange. You'll probably have to step up to 700€.

Laptops are generally not good for gaming btw. I have a friend who bought a laptop for 1000€. It has good performance, but it often overheats and throttles his performance. Laptops generally have much shorter lifetimes than real PCs because they run hot.(In layman's terms: Laptop bad. Run hot.)
If you really have to move your system often then I guess it's your only choice, but if you don't absolutely have to, I'd recommend getting a real PC. Optionally blowing a bit of cash on a good smartphone to have a mobile "computer".

Yeah, I really advise against a gaming laptop as well. A friend of mine bought a 1700€ 18" one and it still overheated a bit even with the cooler you put under it (forgot the name). Another friend of mine has a 15" one and it's terrible, it overheats like crazy.

I would advise getting a pc for 500€ or so and a cheap laptop.

^This. I have a laptop for all non-gaming stuff and a pc for the stuff that requires processing power such as games, simulation and math work.

Yea, exactly. My friend also had a cooling "plate", but it still overheated.
My mom has a cheap 17". It doesn't overheat, but it runs really hot and the fan sounds like a vacuum cleaner.

Good smartphone/tablet>Laptop any day of the week imo.
Tablets and phones are easy to carry around, while laptops are kind of heavy and big..
"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.

I did not get laid that night." - Berengier817

A smartphone/tablet is not the same a laptop, there's tons of things it can't do. At least I need a laptop for college, couldn't live without it.

Yes and no. Specific things like video editing and animation/programming is obviously mainly on the laptop, but other than that smartphones/tablets can do most things a laptop can.
Google has a job title called "Head of Black Community Engagement"..
I don't know whether to cry or laugh.. or both.

There's no "yes and no". A smartphone/tablet is not the same as a laptop. It's a fact. If you are required to install any program whatsoever then most likely your tablet won't have it. Sure, it's good for browsing the web, taking notes or viewing pdfs, but that's pretty much all it can be used for. To work you need a laptop, a tablet is definitely not enough. Try writing a report on a tablet, let's see how you feel after just the 5th page.

The Laptop is mainly used for older games, Visual novels, and Doujin-games.
Older Games like Mount&Blade
Visual Novels like this
And Doujingames like this

Its for the purpose of long time-travel+bein bored at work so its not like "hard-core" Gaming, i wanted to get a PC around 1400€ anyways later, but ~500€ for the Laptop should be fine i hope?

GOnna check out Wraths link, any1 can confirm that they are good?
