i havnt played as him but ive played against him and he is still just as annoying
the nerfs didnt really do anything to him but lower his laning phase a bit and it was probably one of the best early game laning phases in the game and still is even though you cant spam as much
basically the nerf just makes it so the person yer laning against doesnt have to stack GP/10 items to be at the same level of farm as you

Yeah still good. I think they nerfed him mostly because he would destroy any AP mid he went against, not so much because he was also a beast top.
But then again, as most strong early champs, he drops really fast mid/late game unless you've got a couple of kills.

Recent Janna nerfs: AP Ratio on W and the MS bonus on it. CD on her ult. Amount of CC on her unchanneled Q.
Point I'm trying to make is that some champions are good at things they're "not intended" to do. Such as mid Yorick. You probably won't do it but it's probably good too.
You shouldn't be nerfing the unexpected points of champions unless that way becomes mainstream.

Yorick is of course great against most mids if the opponent doesn't know how to to play against him. He'll roflstomp anyone mid that has no idea how to counter him, which means that he'll beat most noobs. My point is nerfing Yorick was, for me, a way to make it more noob-friendly for people playing against him mid.
To me, Yorick was always meant as a top laner, something that he's really good at early game, but he falls off pretty quickly mid/late game. So I just can't see a reason why Riot would nerf him thinking of him as a top laner, because alot of top laners can do what he does, and better.
Anyways, just my opinion as always, you're entitled to yours. I'm also pretty sure they nerfed Janna because of the same reason as Yorick, being more noob friendly for mids going against her. Nerfing her AP ratio on w makes no sense for her support play, but it means a WORLD of difference as AP Janna. I've actually played alot of AP Janna before and after the patch, and I can tell you it makes a big difference, something I really haven't noticed when I play her as a support.
