Teemo is one hard carry I must say. I finally hit platinum after hundreds of ranked games thanks to Teemo finally sealing the platinum.

How do you build and play teemo?
If you for some reason want to follow my ranked journey to gold, you can do it Here.

I am against asking for rep, only rep me if you think I contributed well or said something wise.

I get so much **** for building this way, but by the end of the game, I always get +honor.

I always play mid Teemo.

Merc Treads and Ionic Spark are your core build. With these two items, you beat any mid AP champion 1v1. Ionic Spark is underestimated. It's a lane pusher, its chain lightning is a harassment (what I mean by this is that it chains from the creeps onto the enemy champion and yes, when the enemy is only level 7-11 the damage from ionic spark DOES add up forcing the enemy champion to pot), and when you push the lane, you're free to roam. I run 21/9/0 with movement quints. To level 6, I go E W E Q E R. then I max out REQW.

The mid AP champion I've had the most trouble with is.... yeah I have yet to face a challenge. Champions that like to roam, such as eve or katarina, my teemo HARD counters them. AP mid champions that have a ground target Q like karthus, cass, orianna, I HARD counter them as well. 1v1 diana- I beat her early and snowball from that whenever she charges in at me.

If their Jungler doesn't gank you by level 6, then it's impossible for you to get ganked. Just shroom the pathways and if by chance, they do pass your shrooms, ex. shaco, just blind him and move quick away.

The main objectives are to rush your ionic, push the lane, shroom around dragon, gank other lanes, and respond to enemy jungler in your jungler. Take advantage of your speed.

I agree that Ionic is underrated, I'm considering it for Volibear since his farming abilities are so ****py and it does help harrassing when you are lacking a bit of range. I have faced a Teemo top lane that was using a similar build.

Ionic Spark is VERY underrated. I'm thinking about setting up a guide on mobafire on how I play my teemo.

People's thoughts are this: "Wth, an ionic spark? I've never seen that in Summoners' Rift before! TROLL!"

Probably because there are so many more items that can be prioritized over Ionic. I only see it as a farming tool for champions lacking the skills to farm efficiently like Volibear. But then, you're platinum and I have only 2 ranked games under my belt (Both lost, I'm terrible), haha. I did pick it once for Kayle, because I thought the sparks would look pretty with the flames.

Because I think he is looking at adding range to his attacks, harassing safely WHILE farming minions. He is not looking at getting kills but pushing midlane steadily and getting gold for mid and late game.

It's because every game you're always bound to face some sort of CC. The tenacity is great on Teemo especially since he's more of a kiter, runner, or chaser. In team fights, ionic spits out more dps in my opinion (this is based solely on opinion), and in my build, I always end up getting void staff. I Run 10 mpen runes, and masteries, and void staff should be enough. My teemo is a hybrid off tank who absolutely melts tanks and is able to take damage. My shrooms are deadly if their AP carry, support, or ADC happen to step on it.

I have tried sorc boots before, and it's so easy for me to get ganked. Once I'm CCed with no tenacity, it's basically I'm either dead or forced to run back to base.

You're aiming for the 1v1 at mid lane. Merc treads and ionic seem to do the trick. There have also been many cases where an enemy champion would flash, and you would see the ionic spark lightning still proc allowing me to finish off the champion.
