A better view of the end game stats for game 2... The balance was bad and a lot of the champ choices were less than ideal. So from that some people did learn something from it.

I did everything I could to support my team but it just wasn't enough. With that I know their was room for improvement. I could have camped bot more to try and give them a fighting advantage and I could have helped top a bit more as well. Ahri on the other hand is just stupid hard to gank when your lane has no CC lol. As always any advice is appreciated.

Honestly, those teams look ok. They dont look REALLY that badly imbalanced. Maybe switch one kitty over, but thats it. I say (Even though I don't really wanna :() Kitties need to be split in the games. So it can be Aka "balanced"

The thing is, while we're in these lobbies and trying to balance out teams, noone actually gives the host any feedback. When asked if the teams seem balanced everyone will be like 'yeah sure whatever looks good enough' and then afterwards, one team gets stomped and starts complaining about how imbalanced the teams were.
If you think the teams aren't balanced, speak up in the actual lobby before the game starts o_o It kinda feels like people are using balance issues as an excuse for why they lost.

I can agree in the lobbies there isn't always enough feedback and they just go because they assume everyone is okay with it. Yes I indeed get upset (in the moment) when I lose, it's embarrassing for me. I used to be better, now all I seem to do is lose. These in houses are supposed to help me improve or at the very least stay fresh so I don't lose the muscle memory I've built up over the years.

Regardless sometimes we (probably me) over-react when we are getting crushed even if we didn't do anything to actually lose the lane directly.

The host should really drive it home asking if the teams are balanced and we the players should pay attention.

Why don't we just have a 'ranked teams inhouse'
where everyone brings their teams, and we have our own little go4lol. it's not fun getting rolled in a pickup game because of skill imbalance. I don't want to just go 20-0 on some poor 1000 elo schmuck that vs'es me mid, and i don't want my bot lane to go 0-20 for the same reason, it's just not fun, and it doesn't improve players.

Everyone group up into groups of 5, inhouse tournament gogogogo

i like the idea of 2k elo vs 2k elo mid and other lane match ups but idk why elo is so dramatic to team balancing... qq

Idk, I learned a lot from going 0/5 in lane vs Polse. AKA don't bring support runes to top.

or just play a top that doesn't fall down like an anchor dumped in the ocean(especially if he doesn't snowball).

@ lugignaf - It's ok you will get the hang of it. I find the kitties can be stubborn about playing on the same team but if it's going to jeapordize the balance you need to just put your foot down and tell them they have to play on different teams. I already told Vavena that they need to be more willing to split up for the sake of balance. It should be understood you can't always play with the people you want even though we try to accommodate that as best we can.

I would hope that you kitties would also keep this in mind and not join if you're unwilling to play unless you're on a team with eachother. This mindset puts us in a bad position and you're pretty much giving us an ultimatum and possibly ruining the game for others when you do this.

@ astrolia - I originally wanted that to be the idea. That people play with / against higher skilled players and from that improve at the game. I still think a major focus of these inhouses should be learning and teaching.

@ khazem - Totally agree, if people have a problem with the balance they should say something and try to work it out with the host rather than leaving / complaining afterwards.

@ throatslasher - That sounds fun but seems more like the MOBAFire Community Cup we had and doesn't lend itself well to a weekly event. I also think you can learn more from playing with different players to get some different opinions / tips.

I was hoping we'd have enough to split it into 2 games, because we have in the past and we might in the future. In this case we could have an upper bracket and lower bracket and then teams will be easier to balance / there won't be as big of a possibility for skill disparity. I still want to keep trying this and I agree you guys need to post your wins and elo when you sign up to help us organize.

I think that playing against a higher skill player can provide you with a lot of good feedback because they can quickly point out what you're doing wrong or you will quickly find strategies that don't work against them. That being said, I think if there's a huge difference in the lowest skill player on team 1 and the highest skill player on team 2 that there should be some discussion on which lanes those people are going to and if the lower skill player is ok with laning against the higher skill one if that is the case. It should be an option if people want it but people should know what they're getting into.

I think the best thing you can do if you want to promote learning is just to remind people that are being critical of others to try to give tips to prevent them from making the same mistake, or for people who are doing bad and want tips to ask for them. Even if you lose a game there is experience to be gained and fun times to be had. 1 team always has to lose and these games shouldn't be so competitive that the losing team can't have fun.
